Hello all,
After finding it hard to find parts for my own machine restoration, this site was started to supply parts for hobbyists seeking to restore these fine pieces of Australian manufacturing history. Originally I only sourced secondhand parts, as these became harder to find I started to have new parts made with the help of local engineering companies and other Hercus owners. It has been a long process and much is still to do but real progress is now being made. At the time of writing most of the wearing parts are now available as new parts, both genuine and aftermarket. In fact some 380 parts new and secondhand are now listed as of March 2016.
Along with supplying the remaining genuine new parts, I will be remaking as many of the parts, that are no longer available for these machines, as is possible, staying as true as possible to the original part, using Australian materials and manufacturing and will be expanding the line as time goes on, to include as many useful accessories as I can afford. I would like to thank F.W.Hercus pty ltd and all those owners who have supported me in this endeavour by purchasing parts through the site. As I am now retired from my day job, all progress with this project relies on sales to finance the patterns, prototyping and final manufacture, your support is greatly appreciated.
